Trashy Shorts: Sick Day

I'm home from work today because I'm feeling awful.

My husband has been so supportive. Last night during a particularly tender moment of the kind that my black heart only experiences when I'm feeling near death, I reached over to him and tried to hold his hand. He quickly pulled it away, explaining, "Um, I really don't want to catch what you have."

This morning during an upswing, I got out of bed to say goodbye to the kids. On his way out the door, my sweet husband said, "Hey, if you have a few minutes where you're feeling kind of okay, could you go ahead and prepare dinner in the crockpot so it'll be ready by the time we get home? Just, you know...wash your hands. A lot."

The love abounds in this house.

I did it...I FINALLY created a Facebook page for Trashy Blog.  Please, please, please--my self-esteem depends on it--click here to "like" me!

    1. Amy--thank you for the recipe. I hardly even had an appetite and yet still couldn't resist eating some. And it's SO EASY!! I just realized that I should have included your link in this post. I'm sorry about that. I made sure to mention that was where I got the idea on Facebook, but I didn't think to come back and do it here. So sorry!!

My husband suggests soup when I'm sick, so any germs can be boiled out before he eats it.

    1. Your husband is a goddamned genius. And since I make my soup from a can, that would have been even easier than this!
