Trashy Shorts: DVR

Isn't it funny how I feel this huge sense of accomplishment when I carve out some time to watch my DVR'd shows after my kids go to bed?

As if, instead looking at it for what it really is--three precious hours of my life, hours that I'll never get back, sucked away by some spoiled-ass, whiny, punk Housewives--I should truly feel like I've gotten something done.

Did I cure cancer?  End childhood hunger?  Establish--or even try to promote--world peace?

Nope.  None of those things.

But did I clear 6% of memory from our DVR storage?  Oh, yeah.  Check that off the list.

It's like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.  I can sleep easy now.

  1. It is incredibly satisfying to delete watched shows off the DVR. Or unwatched shows deemed okay to delete because someone went a little crazy with the recording.
